Track Day June 15th:
There were a swarm of vintage bikes displayed, run in sessions, and a special track parade of these older machines – thanks to Steve Brown, Rust is Gold Club, Duke City Rockers, Dennis Parrish, John Aylor, Craig Congleton, Allan Hill, Jeremy Ragsdale, SMRI for letting it happen, and all other vintage participants that I didn’t mention. Very nostalgic because all the vintage racers came out to participate! There was a mock race for the new racers that would participate in a race the next day. This was incredibly fun!
Race day came and it was great to watch all the battles, Lance Echols and Marc Beyer of Kraut Racing did really well and there were no serious injuries. The weather was really great for June that has been unbearably hot but we were graced with temps that stayed in the 80s and there was a cool breeze a tthe end of the day and few sprinkles.
