Ashley’s Trip to Alaska

Jul 24, 2019 | In the News, Motorcycles

When I first met Ashley at the shop in the Spring of 2019, I have to say that I was not sure she really knew what she was getting into – purchasing a bike, learning how to ride it and taking it up to Alaska in under a month. But, I recognized the determination in this woman’s eyes and I took her seriously. I told her about my adventures and what kind of bike to look for. I suggested she take the MSF course and get some good gear. I sold her a nice adventure suit at a discount and sent her on her way. I got an email a couple weeks ago and was so thrilled that she followed through. This took some determination, courage and natural motorcycle riding ability:

Email: I’m not sure if you remember me, but i want to say thank you and i made it to Alaska.
I ended up purchasing a Suzuki Boulevard S83. It was the best fit for my smaller body stature. It has a large engine, but I felt like I could control it. It took me 2 weeks and a lot of coffee to make it to AK. I camped the whole way staying primarily in the forest. It was so beautiful riding through Canada and then into AK. The suit kept me warm and dry, i did burn the outer legs of the pant on the exhaust pipe but that is all apart of the ride. Thanks for the words of encouragement, and not thinking i was crazy.
Keep up the good work,
Ashley
