Marc and Frances decided this year that they would show up and fully participate in the Land of Enchantment BMW Riders Rally in Chama. Marc was asked to give a lecture on BMW motorcycle repair, we had our banner up, and our dogs with us in the Sprinter Van. Of course we put our bikes in hoping we would ride. The weather prediction looked very dismal but we moved forward with the plan. The weatherman did not let us down and it rained for the first 2 days constantly. This made participation at the presentations much more attractive. Did I say how good the food was?

Down Home Lodge and Family RV Campground is wonderful! A little bit of everything from hotel room to tent camp sites and the RV glamping set-up for the in-betweens (that would be us!). Our friend Tim Descala from AZ showed up and we palled around going to the presentations, eating, and finally riding when the weather cleared up Saturday afternoon. (KEEP SCROLLING DOWN)

The great surprise was that when we got to Pagosa Springs, some of the Cannon Ball race bikes- which is a coast to coast race on 100 year old + motorcycles – were stopped at the first gas station in Pagosa when we pulled up!
