G-Wagen Treffen was Amazing! Here is how it went:
OCD Custom Cycles & Auto Repair
Our rendezvous point was Sunday, October 2nd, 12:00 noon. BBQ hosted by Marc Beyer and Frances Sayre at their shop – OCD Custom Cycles and Auto Repair, 1315 Rufina Circle Santa Fe, NM 87507.This BBQ was a meet and greet between as many of the original Europa folks and as many G lovers as can make it. And many made the trek from all over the USA. 21 G-Wagens showed up for the event from as far away as Oregon, Alabama, and Florida.
Sunday, following the party, we headed out onto the Caja, a high escarpment overlook that is the historical separation between Northern and Southern NM.

Monday, 10/3, following a lazy breakfast Rich Romero arranged a tour of one of our big movie sets. You would be surprised at how many movies have been made in our area. We returned to the Caja for another evening of camping and another meal will be prepared for us.
Tuesday, 10/4 we headed out on a 4 day overland trip through NM. The route was 90 % dirt roads and we had our minds blown by the remoteness and vastness of the NM back country.
We plan to make this annual event depending on the interest. Stay tuned for Santa Fe’s G-Treffen 2017!
