Airhead Tech Day in Taos!
Meet at OCD bmwenginesCustom Cycles & Auto Repair Sunday Morning around 7:30 am, clutch out 8:00!
NMAirheads – Taos Tech Day, Sunday, July 17, 1534 Millicent Rogers Rd, El Prado
Reply-To: New Mexico Airhead BMW Club members <nmairheads@casano.com>
Host is Lincoln – I’ll be ready to begin receiving folks beginning about 9:30 AM.  End timeis whenever folks feel the need to leave to get home before dark.

This is a social event and opportunity to do a little work and get input from amateurs and professionals also attending.

Some further details: 1) Directions:
From the south you’ll be coming north on US 64.  Look for Millicent Rogers
Rd, where you’ll turn left, about 3.7 miles past the junction of US 64 and
NM 68 (which ends at that point).  This will be just past the El Prado Post
Office, and there will be a sign indicating the Millicent Rogers Museum.
From the north and west you’ll encounter your first traffic light since
Questa (coming south) or nearly forever (coming east).  Turn south,
straight through the intersection or by making a right turn, and just past
the Conoco station you’ll turn right onto Millicent Rogers Rd.  There will
be a sign there indicating the museum.
Once you’re on Millicent Rogers Rd you’ll climb a small rise and turn south
(left again).  My house is the second on the left, less than a mile from
the highway.  If you get to the museum, you’ve passed it.
Be careful coming down the gravel driveway, as it can be a little dodgy.
Stay off the front brake (but you already knew that).
If you get lost or otherwise need it, my telephone is 575 737-0435.

2) Provender:
I’ll supply doughnuts and coffee in the morning and offer green chile stew
for lunch.  I’ll also have soft drinks and water on hand.  No alcohol, as I
don’t believe in riding and imbibing, but if you’re brave or foolish enough
to bring your own I won’t object.

3) Facilities:
There’s a fairly large concrete apron in front of my garage, But there’ll
be space to work in the garage as well.  I’ve got a Harbor Freight lift, a
compressor, a tire changer, torque wrenches, battery chargers, and the
usual wrenches and other hand tools.  If you’ll be changing any fluids
please bring them along and also something to take away the waste.  I do
have oil catch pans you can use.

Finally, it would be very helpful for me to have a head count of people
intending to come by, say, the 15th, so I can have enough green chile stew
on hand.
And if any of you are planning to make a weekend of it in Taos, what would
you think of meeting for a meal at a local restaurant on Saturday evening?
all best, Lincoln
